I'm having real trouble with Goldeneye when I'm running it on my Nvidia Shield TV 2017 (UK version).
The single player is fine, but when I'm trying to play split-screen 2 player, the lower screen is either completely black or glitched depending upon which plugin I use. None of them seem to work correctly for me.
Does anyone have a fix for this? I'm running the latest nightly build of Mupen64PlusAE. I've tried both the EU and USA versions of the game, but the result is the same. Obviously I'm happy to use FZ if that works?
Here's a screenshot for you, in case it helps (http://i.imgur.com/KZ1q5wb.jpg)
Had a reply from fzurita on the Play Store to try a different emulation profile (Glide64-Accurate). Will try that later, thanks Francisco.
Well I've tried the above but it's still not working. I'm now getting a white flashing border around player 2's screen in 2 player mp.
Any ideas how to fix it?
Hm. Does nobody know or am I just being ignored? :-[
Sorry, wet don't have many visitors here, and we have been having a spam problem lately.
Unfortunately, if you already tried all the plugins and it didn't fix it, then there is not much you can do. Also, the FZ version is based of the latest nightly.
You could try RetroArch. It may give you a better result.
Hm, I'm a bit confused by this response. Is nobody else having the same trouble as me?
On what systems does changing the plugin work for MP Goldeneye?
I can't believe I'm the only person in the world that has this problem..!
It's a known problem. I did get a few clues as to what may be causing the issue.
Try creating a new GLideN64 full GL emulation profile. First try a profile with "copy depth buffer to RDRAM" set to off. If that doesn't work, try one with Frame buffer emulation set to off.
I filed an issue about this with GLideN64 a while ago (issue 1173)
Disabling Framebuffer Emulation should fix the problem.
