Since the update my hires_texture folders have disappeared and the textures along with it. Are they in a new location, or do we no longer have access to them in the file browser?

the folder you're looking for is in the root folder of the internal storage:

mupen64plus-fz/ profiles

in this folder is a file called customCheats.txt, if you're familiar with the process just make sure the codes are in proper format if not it could take a while to get them corrected. About running multiple mods I've got a couple of ideas for you. What i did myself was make copies of that mupen64plus-fz folder i directed you too earlier in the post and just setup and labeled them for each save, and when i wanted to play a different save I'd just rename the folders. Another option i haven't tried yet is the app called parallel space or something similar. They allow you to run multiple instances of the same app, I'd imagine you could set up different mupen64 spaces and set each up and avoid the folder renaming each time you switch mods. As a longtime NoMercy fan hope that helps.

I previously tried to use codes for virtual pro wrestling 2 on the emulator to no effect. Recently just messing around with it again i see the result is still the same, however i was able to get the same codes to work on the classic boy n64 emulator. Its saying it uses a mupen 64 plugin so im wondering whats the difference between the 2?

Thanks for responding, yes I've updated to the current version and still the same results.
Here is one of the codes in question, fairly basic to test:

P1 infinite special
8016C4BF 0004

You get into a match and the p1 hud should be flashing. I have a translated version as well, I've tried both versions. In the main menu the 1st option available is an exhibition match. Just confirm all the way till you see the select fighters, then a couple more times to the match

I'm trying to use cheat codes for virtual pro wrestling 2 to no avail. Ive used these codes on other emulators as well as a real console years ago. I believe there's some sort of confusion with verifying the rom name. Research led me to something about the rom header for Japanese games being written in different text code maybe being the cause of the hangup. FzuRita do you know how he cheat engine identifies the games? Or where the known game would be stored?

Hey guys, been awhile but I've been testing things out again recently and have an issue I need help with. I'm trying to load hires textures for virtual pro wrestling 2, actually just one texture as a proof of concept. I can't get it to load using gliden64, I've tried numerous different  settings/folder names etc. Nothing is working for me. Background info, it works with the same plugin on pj64 for me. Also the naming confusion I state in my topic title is this:

Sra file and mpk name(sram data folder): Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 - Oudou Keishou (J) [!].mpk

Game data folder name(with sram data folder inside): �ްl� ���ڽ 2

Rice video dump folder name: ް ڽ 2

Texture name I'm attempting to load: ް ڽ 2#6CF0288A#2#1#6F134E0B_ciByRGBA

It's not even attempting to load the textures on boot, so I suppose it's something filename based?

Hey guys, Noticed some new things going on here so I thought I'd  start testing some things here and there from version 10. I tried out wwf no mercy and everything was pretty much the same aside from a few sound hiccups here and there. I just got a new device however so for a little while I'll  be able to test from 2 different  phones. I tried it out on the note 4 and got mirrored textures if that's  what you call it with rice video plug-ins only. Could not reproduce  it on the note 2.  I'll  come back and upload pics in a bit.

Did a quick test and the problematic codes on the default cheat file worked like a charm. Im going to add more cheats and see if it still holds true. Once the defaults woeked everything else I plugged so far worked for the windows version, so I'd think it's fine. I'll still report back after I fiddle with it a  bit more in the morning.

Great, that was Sven who fixed the problem.. takes real talent to fix a problem without even reproducing it first  ;D
That's what I thought too lol. He had the fix before I even got a chance to upload screenshots lol.
Thanks for your diligence with the upstream devs, sdot_thadon.  I've merged the fixes into our version 3 branch.  I'll take a look at merging it into our version 2.4 branch as well, so that you get the fixes sooner.

Hey guys, I found a solution to the cheat bug. Was able to recreate the bug on a pc and get a patch even though the guy didnt fully understand the problem lol. Not sure what it would take for you to implement the patch but it works from the testing I've done thus far. Will do more test runs tomorrow.  Here's the issue page with the patch.

I figured as much by the app being a port and all. I actually went back and tested some of the codes on n64oid as well and yeah same results.  :( So the only way it would potentially get sorted out would be for  the pc version of mupen64plus to sort it out 1st? Hopefully it will be sooner or later because the mod work on that game gave it new life, it still has a community to this day. It'd be amazing to have access to all that in my pocket lol. I wonder if any other game's codes are affected as much, sounds like I have testing to do...

Ok, gotta a chance to get mupen64plus and a front end running on my laptop and yes I was able to recreate the exact same bug with the pre installed cht file (unedited). I browsed the file hierarchy for the pc version and I see it uses 2 cht files as well, could this be the issue? I also noticed when importing cht codes to the file myself that some would be mislabled in the app. For example a code that should be a match type would be a move hack instead.
