It is strange I downloaded it and had no problems installing it, try to search in google version 3.0.123 of Mupen64plus Fz this is the last one where your android version had compatibility.

Do you need to activate the Unknow sources option on your device? since if you have this option disabled you can not install apps outside of play store, you can disable it in settings> security> unknow sources, try it and see if it lets you install it

I can confirm this problem, for now I solve it by modifying the option using native resolution factor in 1x in GlideN64 with this the game looks more pixelated but does not slow down so much when you get hit or you are shot.

It says my device is not compatible with ths app.. Thanks anyway, i'll continue searching for an early version....

Sorry, forget that you mentioned that your device had jellybean and that version of android stopped being supported in the emulator makes several versions, that's why you get the message that your device is not compatible.

Try this, it is a modified old version that Francisco (developer of Mupen64plus Fz) sent me some time ago should work on your device

I can not provide a link to download the latest version of MegaN64 because this forum is dedicated to Mupen64plus versions Ae and Fz, but I can put a link to download the latest version of Mupen64Plus Fz which has no advertising and has just been updated recently (a few hours ago actually)

I do not know if mega N64 uses the same interface as mupen64plus fz but if so you can disable the auto-save option in the sidebar, first go to settings and then choose data and there you will find the option max autosaves per game change it to 0 to disable the self-saved.


Edit: I have tried that app a bit and apparently do not have an option to disable the auto-save, I recommend download Mupen64plus Fz since apart from being more updated here if you can disable the auto-save as many games that do not work well in mega64 if they do Mupen64plus Fz

Edit: Ok the pack Ocarina V7 is already re-uploaded, and within a few hours I upload pack for majoras mask created by the user Nerrel of emutalk, the game looks great with this pack so I decided to reduce the size.

If someone uses this pack I recommend that you use the Gliden64 plugin since Rice does not fully load the textures and some effects like the lens of truth do not work

I hope you can share those textures I am interested in knowing what games they are for (like the Doom textures you mention), in terms of creating another thread I do not think there is a problem with the textures but it would be more visible in the Mupen plus AE section.

As for the patches and the tools, I do not know if they're allowed, so we'll see what Paul or Francisco says.


Take this opportunity to mention that I uploaded the pack Ocarina Community V7 with less weight, still missing textures to add but it will be in a small update.

In the last version of emulator this game now show the status bar but the game run very slow (15 -20 fps in my device) and only whit GlideN64 plugin and CXD4 RSP-HLE

I created this theme to share several texture pack for the Mupen64Plus Fz emulator, for the most part they are from Zelda Ocarina Of Time but I hope that the others also contribute to make them more.

Soon I will add images so that they can see how the packs look even if only in the folder of Drive since for some reason I have problems when adding thumbnails in the post.

Finally I want to clarify that I am not the creator of these pack I just take the time to download and re-upload (with a lower weight) to my own Drive account so all rights are of their original authors.

No, I only minimize it and after a few seconds (about 15 or 20) the notification closes automatically, I verify that by keeping the emulator active without closing or minimizing it correctly saves the cache, also note that before saving the emulator cache sends me to the main screen and in previous versions first the emulator kept the cache and when it finished I would send you to the main screen.

It is quite strange only I can think that it is using a different version of the rom and therefore does not completely load the textures, since I have a pack that weighs a little more than 450 Mb of cache and if it loads the great majority of the textures.

Edit 1: Ok I did a test and actually gliden64 does not completely save the texture cache now I only keep 85 mb of the previous 450 Mb.

Edit 2:Apparently the bug happens when minimizing the application while the emulator saves the texture cache, if kept active all textures are saved correctly.

For the audio try this, in the main screen of the emulator slides to the right, then go to settings> audio and activate / deactivate the option time stretch audio or also in the option Samplig Rate to best for hardware (or set by game depending on which is activated), first try one of the two.

Another thing I can think of for speed is to deactivate the expansion pack since the game seems to apply a small antialising effect with the expansion pack activated which may reduce performance a bit, I'm not entirely sure about this but when I deactivate the game I think it is more fluid (still the game keeps running at the same speed) but you can try and see if it works.

The angrylion plugin is no longer necessary, in fact the game would work slower than with Gliden64, the problem of the black bar appears to me in some games when activating the option Widescreen Hack in gliden64 tries to activate / deactivate that option to see if it fix.

For the speed problem try to disable the option enable noise emulation to me it caused a fall of fps with that option activated.

Edit: Oops I was wrong, the problem of the black bar only happens with the option enable frame and / or depth buffer deactivated has nothing to do with the Widescreen Hack.
