Support / Re: [BUG] (ANDROID) Hires textures not caching properly

No, I do not have any application like that, I'll try to send you the logcat by mail to see if you find something, I'll also try other smaller packs to see if the same thing happens.

No, I only minimize it and after a few seconds (about 15 or 20) the notification closes automatically, I verify that by keeping the emulator active without closing or minimizing it correctly saves the cache, also note that before saving the emulator cache sends me to the main screen and in previous versions first the emulator kept the cache and when it finished I would send you to the main screen.

It is quite strange only I can think that it is using a different version of the rom and therefore does not completely load the textures, since I have a pack that weighs a little more than 450 Mb of cache and if it loads the great majority of the textures.

Edit 1: Ok I did a test and actually gliden64 does not completely save the texture cache now I only keep 85 mb of the previous 450 Mb.

Edit 2:Apparently the bug happens when minimizing the application while the emulator saves the texture cache, if kept active all textures are saved correctly.

General Discussion / Re: Auto Build and Mupen64PlusAE Version 4?
« on: September 27, 2017, 03:04:33 PM »
For the audio try this, in the main screen of the emulator slides to the right, then go to settings> audio and activate / deactivate the option time stretch audio or also in the option Samplig Rate to best for hardware (or set by game depending on which is activated), first try one of the two.

Another thing I can think of for speed is to deactivate the expansion pack since the game seems to apply a small antialising effect with the expansion pack activated which may reduce performance a bit, I'm not entirely sure about this but when I deactivate the game I think it is more fluid (still the game keeps running at the same speed) but you can try and see if it works.

The angrylion plugin is no longer necessary, in fact the game would work slower than with Gliden64, the problem of the black bar appears to me in some games when activating the option Widescreen Hack in gliden64 tries to activate / deactivate that option to see if it fix.

For the speed problem try to disable the option enable noise emulation to me it caused a fall of fps with that option activated.

Edit: Oops I was wrong, the problem of the black bar only happens with the option enable frame and / or depth buffer deactivated has nothing to do with the Widescreen Hack.

I did a test, try loading the save state from Fz version to AE version (I put it in the subfolder SlotSaves) but it did not work, it also does not load the automatic saves

If I remember correctly I do not think save states are compatible between different versions of the emulator, I think it is best that you save in the game and pass the save file of the Fz version to the old version of Mupen64 + AE and from there you do the save states.

By the way it is not that they are similar in reality MegaN64 is the same Mupen64 + AE but with another name.

Support / Re: Mupen64Plus FZ has a black bar at the bottom

In the reddit Fzurita mentions that one of the solutions is to activate the option Emulate Frame buffer (but this option is activated by default in the Accurate profile) or activate the option Force gamma correctio and leave it with the value in 10, also the author of the post mentions that when activating the option Fix uppside screen in the options of the emulator could fix partially the problem, if that does not work regret not to be able to help but since it does not occur to me that more it can cause that error.

It is strange, normally the profile Accurate and Medium do not usually have that problem until now I had only seen the problem that you mentioned with the version Fast.

The difference between the Fast and Accurate profile is basically that fast effects are disabled such as emulation of noise, depth and frame buffer effects (the latter in Zelda is necessary for the pause menu) with this games can run more fast but also some may not work well.

Are you sure you are not using GlideN64 fast profile? because with that profile shows the errors you describe, use the profile GlideN64 medium or make sure you have the option Emulate frame and / or depth buffer in the plugin settings (you need to copy and edit the profile to access the settings) you can also try the Rice video profile to load the textures but the latter does not emulate the frame buffer effects.

In the main screen of the emulator touch the three bars button and then select settings and last touchcreen in the latter should appear those options (although I do not remember if this build had those options). By the way I recommend you use the Fz version of this emulator as it is more updated than the versions of here, look in playstore Mupen64plus Fz.

General Discussion / Re: Gauntlet legends

For now there is no plugin that correctly emulates Gauntlet Legends, it works partially with the Rice and Glide64 plugins but they also do not show the status bar and the screen flickers.

If the plugins are not updated there is not much that can be done since Francico makes the port of the changes of those plugins to the version of android and as I mentioned long ago that are not updated, maybe gln64 can be replaced by the version Z64 ( A more recent version of gln64) but I do not know if Francico has thought to add it, the most that can be done is to find the appropriate configurations for the games by modifying the settings of the plugins.

Yes, gliden64 is still in beta, as for the other plugins only glide64 is updated from time to time, Rice and Gln64 are no longer updated for a long time and are only maintained for compatibility with less powerful devices.
