tested on the ASUS me176c (atom z3745)
same crash in the same spot, just as a dramatization animation is triggered when crossing a certain boundary after the burning trees fall at the very beginning of the game.

Thanks @littleguy
I'm obviously new to this forum.  choosing an emulator alone can be very time consuming so i'm glad to find a thriving community.  It appears I can be more helpful by joining the tester's corner which it appears you are the moderator of.  I was unsuccesful adding my username to the crash reporting on the nexus player due to the default behavior of the nexus player stock keyboard and only being able to select cancel after entering my username in the app.  I'll have to pair a keyboard with it or a mouse probably to see if it will let me enter my username successfully.  is there a place we can make requests to influence the changelog?  i'm really excited that such an emulator is on the verge of completion and will run on such inexpensive hardware.  i remember feeling lucky to get a single frame to render on my first dual core extreme edition dual 8600gt sli system build.  there would be a scanline and a very crappy wireframe of mario and a scanline and a foreground texture, audio didn't even know what to do with such a slow render.

anybody else out there able to help?  does this thing run in ART? dalvik? both?  i'm new to compiling so i don't know how this stuff works? are there 2 versions out there (x86 and arm?)  or does the atom just realtime run arm instructions?  forgive my ignorance.  i'd like to try compiling an apk from the latest repositories but i don't know enough about how it's done in android.

thanks for your reply.
your crash on your iconia is identical to mine on the nexus player.
I also have an asus t100 windows tablet that I believe has very similar hardware (same SOC although 2GB ram)
*edit (^^not the same soc, different gpu, however, same soc as me572c which it just so happens I got my mom for christmas, will test on that next^^)
Using wxMupen64plus(32bit build) on my t100, I'm able to get past that first skelley scene and fight the boss and continue playing.

The usb access on nexus player is a minor headache for me since es file explorer allows me to move files to and from the device.  I'm sure as androidtv evolves as a platform they will add support if it makes sense for the use case.  I'm just thankful they left it open enough for us to tinker.

this seems to follow paul's distro of mupenplus on x86 android?  comments?

i'm just looking into this also. i saw richard42 made an entry on the google code site stating many things have grown since july 2013.  has anybody on here compiled the latest available code?  is it functional? any better performance than regular 2.0?  noticeable performance gain when compiled to x64 or amd64?

on my tegra 3 device i am able to fight the first boss in castlevania.  on my intel atom device, the game consistently crashes on the animation that introduces the first boss.

i tried to setup crash reporting on my nexus player but my credentials don't appear to be saved as when i hit the next button, i am unable to select any button but cancel from the system keyboard.  is it possible something is wrong with the x86 compile?
