General Discussion / Re: Custom Gamepad (and Touchpad) Layouts!
« on: May 10, 2018, 01:45:20 PM »
First, are you using the right app? It should be this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mupen64plusae.v3.fzurita

If you are, all you have to do is go to profiles, then touchscreen profiles, select "Everything" and hit copy, give it a new name and hit ok. You will be able to modify the layout there. Once you are done, go back to the beginning and select "Profiles" then "Select Profiles". In there you can choose the profile you created.

Also, you can override the default touchscreen profile for a game by selecting the game, going to settings, and changing the touchscreen profile there.

I just pushed an update to the app. It should show up within 1 hour. I fixed one issue that may be the issue you are having. Can you try the new version out and tell me if it works?

Ok, do the 7zip or zip work if you launch from inside Mupen64Plus FZ?

Also, can you try this?

Open Mupen64plus FZ and use the home button to leave it running in the background. Start up the game using Arc Browser. Once it fails, go back to Mupen64Plus FZ, go to tools, then "Logcat". Can you post that here?

I think I see a problem. Do your zip or 7zip files contain files that are not ROMs?

I just tried it with a zip file and it worked ok. Is the problem only with 7zip?

Once you have the game open, open up the sidebar, scroll down to controller paks, and switch the controller pak to "Rumble Pak"

About thing, for your phone, I would try using GLideN64-Accurate emulation profile.

Not much can be done to decrease input lag. It's going to depend on your touchscreen. Also, make sure you disable all power saving options while playing, those can add input lag as well.

The rumble in the emulator menu is a bug, it will be fixed next release. For GoldenEye, select the game, go to settings, then advanced, change "count per operation" to 1.

We don't support MegaN64, they just point to this website because they used our code. Here is the latest version of our app that you can grab: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mupen64plusae.v3.fzurita.

Once you get started with that app, to setup cheats for a game, all you have to do is select a game, go to settings, and select cheats.

Support / How to setup Transfer Pak emulation
« on: March 10, 2018, 06:22:37 PM »
Mupen64plus FZ has added support for the transfer Pak. This is useful for games like Pokemon stadium and Pokemon stadium 2. Here is how to set it up.

What you will need
  • N64 ROM image that supports the transfer Pak
  • Gameboy or Gameboy color ROM image that the N64 game supports
  • File containing the in-game save for the GB/GBC ROM image, usually it has a .sav extension

Setup
  • Start up the Mupen64plus FZ app
  • Use the top right button called "REFRESH ROMS" to search for your N64 game, after the app finds your N64 ROM, it will show up in your library.
  • Select the ROM that showed up in your library and select settings
  • Select "Controller"
  • Scroll down to "controller paks" and for each player that you need the transfer Pak for, choose the transfer pak
  • Once the transfer Pak had been selected for the appropriate players, scroll down to the "transfer paks" section
  • For each player that you enabled the transfer Pak for, you will have to select a ROM and RAM image
  • For the ROM image select your GB or GBC ROM
  • For the RAM image select your GB/GBC in game save, usually it has a sav extension
  • Back out of all the menus and get back to the library
  • Select your N64 ROM and choose restart

Unfortunately Apple still doesn't allow emulators in their app store.
