  Could Jabo Direct3d plugin be supported by mupen64?

 I find it faster in some games on Project64 compared to other plugins. It also does not freeze in some romhacks (e.g. SM64 Green Stars) unlike all other plugins.

  Hello and a great 2016 to everyone.

I have been downloading new autobuillds and playtesting them for the past 2 months or so and the work being done, tinkering and improving this emulator is evident. From small nooks and crannies (per game config, number of auto savegames per game, menu slider) to improved performance, i want to thank all the developers for their contributions and improvements.
Even hacks play very well on this emu, which is great in its' own right, as there is a large number of Mario 64 and GoldenEye projects worth playing.


  I would also like to propose a couple of suggestions:

1. Have the menu slider be optional. Personally, i have assigned my camera button to trigger the menu and since i game on a 4 inch screen, i sometimes accidentaly trigger the menu slider while touching the left side of the screen (analog and z are assigned there by me). Having an option on the "display" options to disable the slider if you can enter the menu via a button would be nice imho.

2. Have an ''audio off'' option in each game's separate options. While many games play very well speedwise, it would help in some lagging ones like Top Gear Rally.

New update 12/09 is out. I tested it and it seems smoother to me (i get higher fps count in games like Conker & Top Gear Rally)

 Why do you use GLideN64 GLES 2.0 variant, it's buggy.

 Glide64-Fast (10th anniversary) is better for the vast majority of games, and even on my crappy phone (1.2 GHZ dual core. Adreno 302) , many games are playable and enjoyable. Great work!

  IDK, i tried the July version linked in the reddit topic mentioned above, and then compared it to the 2015-11-04 build.
On the same device, with the same settings (global and per game) and don't see a speed increase?

IMHO people should just experiment with the settings.

For me, i get the best speed with settings like
- rendering resolution (should be @640X480 for heavier games, or if you are on a small screen phone, for all games, really... for conker i set it 360X480, looks ok on my 4 inch phone screen...)
- Flicker reduction hack (OFF for better performance)
- Audio plugin (mupen64plus-audio-sdl, 2.0)
- Audio buffer size (Default for better speed)
- Visual feedback (animate joystick OFF)

To add to the above, programs like GL Tools can also give a small boost if you know how to mess with them and have a rooted device.

 Yes that is correct, space is an issue on my part (at least on the phone, it has 4GB internal storage, of which 2gb are usable). I do have a 64GB HCSD ofcourse, but i had to put the mupen64 folder in the internal storage to avoid issues (btw i forgot to mention that even after tampering with foldermount to have the mupen64 folder on the SD and linked to internal storage, Turok 2 & 3 still didn't load).

 Performance is not affected (afaik at least) from auto saves, it's purely a room issue, as you describe.

Hello everyone, first post here.
I just registered to thank the developer(s) for this great project and congratulate them on a job well done. Ever since discovering the
3 α debug versions, i playtested them extensively on my phone and tab. I really like the multiple plugin support, makes all the difference in the world when playing a game like Perfect Dark , having the light coronas or the camspy rendered correctly like a real N64.

I also like the cover gui (the initial rom scan however misses some games if they are in .zip form) and especially the sidebar that is accesible in game, in the last 3 apk updates. Really useful and handy addition, well done!

I also have a couple of suggestions
1. Could there be an option to turn off auto save upon exiting a rom?
2. The touchpad editor having an option for A and B buttons to be side by side (like N64oid) instead of like a real N64 controller, useful for small screened smartphones

Finally,  on my phone (xperia E1) and tablet (LGV490), if i setup the mupen64 folder to be located on the external SD, some games like Turok 2 or 3 do not load. If i setup mupen64 folder to be located on internal storage, they play no problem.
