I hope I'm posting in the right place. This is regarding the latest buildbot APK on the top banner of this website.

I own a Nvidia Shield Portable and Mupen64 on this thing is absolutely abysmal. I have no idea whats going on, but any video plugin thats not exactly "gln" has the game stutter and skip horribly with bad FPS regardless of what settings you use. GlideN64 is specifically noteworthy.

Am I doing something wrong here? The Nvidia Shield Portable uses a overclocked Tegra 4 chip.

I'm also running the nvidia shield handheld, and I've been using mupen AE on it for a long time and I've had those kinds of serious problems. Almost every game for me is playable, and with the FZ branch there's been improvement.

Judging from the pictures and the lite description, I couldn't really gather what the game is about. I don't know the mechanics or anything. I think you should add some in depth descriptions about the features/challenges. I'll give it a try though, sometime.

Been working on the auto-cover-download machinery.  Having the "goodname" of the rom helps, but isn't a surefire way to construct the correct weblink.  So far I've only tried downloading the cover art from here, and the filenames don't always match up easily to the goodnames.

This is just a debugging screen, but you can see right now I'm missing most of the cover art.  The text below each cover is [goodname][crc][md5] in case you're wondering.

Unfortunately Bomberman 64 is one of the games that flat out do not work at the moment.

Does SuperGNES remember per-ROM user settings?  Or are they global settings only?

Global settings, though you can make multiple profiles with different settings.

Regarding eye candy, has anyone ever used the SuperGNES emulator? It has probably one of the best interfaces I've seen. I have some screenshots of mine. I really like how you can download covers of your games, and you can see screenshots of your save state. It all just looks really clean.

Thanks for the edit, but unfortunately "Shadows of the Empire" starts but crashes right after "A long time ago...". I tried switching to both interpreter modes (pure and cached) but it would not start at all with these settings. Do you happen to know how I can get it to run?

Well, I can run Shadows nearly perfect on my Asus TF300T. I use the gles2glide plug in with everything basically set on defaults. Of course when I run the emulator I turn on performance mode. The only problem is the white seams in the geometry.

I've included a few screenshots with the FPS on. I teeter between 40 and 20 FPS.

Unfortunately the two Star Wars games that are unique to this console are not playable:
  • Rogue Squadron
  • Shadows of the Empire

I know that all the Rogue Squadrons used quite a bit of console trickery. Level 5 was famous for pulling all kinds of techno stunts for the RS games and all the emulators, even Dolphin, have problems running them properly.

I"d like to help Paul but my Mupen is doing the same thing it was before right when I installed release candidate 4.

This really is getting tiresome. Seems every new release, the location of the roms become invalid.
