We still can't write data back to the gameboy RAM.

If you are using the latest play store version. Create a folder in your phone and put a folder there called "Profiles".  In there put that cheat file and name customCheats.txt. Then, within the app, go to tools and select "Import/Export Data". You will be able to import the cheats there. Just make sure you give it the right folder.

Also, this assumes that the project 64 cheats are the same format as mupen64plus cheats.

Hello, yeah, it is safe.

You can still import and export data to the internal storage. This includes game saves and stuff. Simply go to tools then select "Import/Export Data"

You can create your own mapping by following the sticky thread above.

That's expected behavior. Anything after Android 4.4 makes it very difficult to write to the sdcard, do it's disabled. You can still use the sdcard to store your ROMs though.

It has to be a valid cheat, otherwise the ok button won't become enabled. A valid cheat is an 8 digit hex address and a 4 digit hex value.

Right now it's impossible to save data back to the transfer pak unfortunately.

I have no plans to, but there is an upcoming retroatch core that should be pretty good.

I don't know much about GPIO, but you will probably have to create your own input plugin. Like this one:

Both of the games you mention have issues. GLideN64 should work almost with Gauntlet legends, but it will be slow and the health/mana bars have issues. For WCW backstage, there are timing issues preventing that game from running.

This is probably a problem work your device. Such old devices have very poor drivers. Your best hope is to try different emulation profiles. To change the emulation profile for a specific game, select the game, go to settings, abd adjust the emulation profile there.

Support / Re: Not all ROMs scanned - very few, actually

Which other emulators see the games ok? It's possible that the newest version of Mupen64plus FZ had a bug on the ROM scan code. Also, which format are your ROMs in?
