General Discussion / immersive mode?
« on: January 12, 2015, 12:45:25 AM »
I have been playing mupen64plus as on my tegra note 7 with HDMI out and sixaxis controller, its almost gaming heaven except the soft buttons don't dissapear (they become dots until pressed but the bar they sit in is still there cutting screen size). I wondered if this is something that could be fixed?

Your Projects / Kritterblox
« on: May 20, 2014, 01:04:04 AM »

Kritterblox is a fast paced coloured tile matching game (like columns) and I have put effort into having pixely 2d graphics!
I hope some people can check it out and give me some feedback? (Its free) thanks!
Written in c++ and compiled with c4droid (I will be learning java for my next project) I think I have done great for only 6 months learning programming!

Your Projects / Tap tap tumbling!
« on: April 01, 2014, 05:35:05 AM »

I have just uploaded my first app to Google Play.

It is written in c++ with SDL2 and compiled with n0n3m4's c4droid compiler (although I had to make a few changes to the manifest using apktool)

There's no adverts or anything, i'm not trying to get free money by advertising this here!

I would just like to create a profile as a developer, as I am stuck working as a caretaker and have no qualifications in programming.

A few hits on Google Play would look great on my CV!  :D

Thanks for looking

Just wondered if these changes had made it into the main version yet? Majoras mask is so close to playing at a good speed on my xperia play!

Your Projects / Super Basic Tetris for c++ (windows specific atm)
« on: January 26, 2014, 04:57:00 AM »

I have been learning C++ for a couple of months, and it seems to be going well for me so far!  :)

I have made this very simple Tetris game, and I would like to share the source code in case anyone else would like to look at it for learning purposes.

I'm sure its full of bad programming, but just the fact that it works has encouraged me to continue with programming.

I think I will  learn more of the basics of C++ and then start learning SDL unless anyone can recomend something easier?

General Discussion / Re: Glide GL ES 2.0 Port (WIP)

Surreal 64 for the original xbox always comes with a full set of boxart, collect game art covers video previews walkthroughs etc for adding to emus (specifically the xbox1 but with a view to other uses I think). Mupen64ae being a free program should be fine? Im not too sure about copyright

Some games don't seem to render to the full screen (f-zero, smash brothers) they do in gles2n64 though, in rice they have garbled borders (happens on jxd s7300 and xperia play).

Loving the new update BTW, and have you considered a more media based GUI with box art etc. (Maybe after auto settings for games is implemented)

Seems to be the hive of development

Sxelrom 3.5 is the best ROM at the moment.

Make sure to wipe cache and factory reset etc between flashing ROMs or you will get force closes and random reboots

I bought the actual device from eBay, manufacturing quality is supposed to be low so I wanted to be protected just in case my unit was DOA

I wouldn't recommend it as a daily driver tablet, but its cool and the price is right!

I've had some time to play around with this thing now, and I strongly reccomend it to anyone who wants a portable n64, with the new frameskip in glide plugin I can even play conkers bad fur day very nicely  ;D

Takes a bit of work to get everything set up nice, but in my opinion well worth it.

on closer inspection it seems to be a firmware issue  :-\

there are 2 main choices for the s7300 at the moment; NCCE or Skelrom (from what ive gathered the stock fw is a POS)

I was experiencing this issue on NCCE v1.1,

I switched to skelrom v3.5, which fixed the analogue stick, but I have flickering textures on mario 64!  :-\

Went back to NCCE and it is consistant there aswell, guess its a depth issue?

If it helps it is a mali 400 gpu and its spoofing a galaxy s2 for compatibility reasons

just got my jxd s7300, and I am having trouble with the button mapping also...

it seems to detect the left analog stick as though its the same as the dpad. I know from playing other games that it is a true analog stick, I am wondering what I can do to help diagnose the issue?

Miscellaneous / Xperia Play Controls in Retroarch
« on: June 20, 2013, 04:29:22 AM »
Squarepusher needs help from a developer with an Xperia Play in order to fix the controls in the new builds of Retroarch:

Whilst I have an Xperia Play and would love to use it for Retroarch, I know nothing about programming...

Posting here as I was first brought here by the Xperia Play support in Mupen64AE, whilst N64oid ignored it.
