Khaled or anyone else who has had this problem, please post here, and I'll try and figure out what's going wrong.

That bug sounds odd, kind of reminds me of the old crash after 30 seconds bug. :/

I havent used a version of mupen64plus-ae for longer than 30 minutes because I've always been installing new test builds but I will deffintly try to replicate the issue on my device.

EDIT: Had the emulator running on my phone for a while now, Im not sure if its been 30 minutes.
Also if its only happened to an xperia play user maybe the crash occurs after a certain amount of physical key presses?

DOUBLE EDIT: DeanBora of XDA forums tested it and he said:
"just finished testing and after the 20-25 minuet mark the emulator becomes extremely laggy and is unplayable had to close emulator and reopen it. had nothing else running in background apart from normal day to day apps from start to finish."
