« on: September 06, 2013, 03:58:31 AM »
Gonetz who developed GLideN64 10+ years ago has announced that he is working on a new video plugin - see here for (nearly) perfect Mario Tennis emulation running in Mupen: newbielink:http://www.emutalk.net/threads/54707-GLideN64-blog [nonactive]

Youtube video is here: newbielink:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-JTL5JNrn4 [nonactive]

In his very interesting blog he also says that he will create an Android port - newbielink:http://gliden64.blogspot.ru/ [nonactive]

Paul, I hope you will contact him for testing!

Gonetz, the author of the plugin, has announced several days ago that the port to Mupen64Plus is done and the plugin is working... this is getting closer now!

Yeah, I noticed that a few days ago too.  Will be interesting to see how it compares to the current version of glide that Mupen64Plus uses.  Also be interesting to compare to Squarepusher's complete overhaul of the plugin (which he calls Glide2GL).

I asked Gonetz about the Android port and his response was:

It's too early to talk about it. I just learned to build Mupen64Plus AE from sources.
I foresee problems with port to OGLES since my current work requires OGL 4+
I'm afraid, it will not be straightforward.

So it will probably take quite some time before we see it working on our phones, but he is definitely working on it.
