Possibly useful info
« on: January 09, 2012, 02:10:04 PM »
I found a good thread on the mednafen forums which is a discussion between the dev of mednafen and a dev porting the emulator to android.

Im not sure if any of the info is any useful to you paul but one part did catch my eye when they said about raising the FPS cap in android to 60. The FPS in mupen64plus-ae never seems to go above 30 for me.

Thanks, I'll definitely have to look at that some more.  It looks like the post you were talking about which increased the FPS was a device/OS - specific hack (in that case a Droid.. he didn't mention the OS version).  That being said, device-specific branches are a definite possibility with an open-source project like this one (maybe we could find a hack like that which works with the Xperia Play, for example).
