Never met him... did see him on the crane when they were building the Da Vinci Man...
But a friend of mine helped build the Christina. He had never been to the Burn till they drove it onto the Playa. Larry Harvey approached him saying how much he admired the boat car. Asked him how many people it took to build it, he said just him a two buddies. Larry was amazed and appreciated their work and welcomed them to the Burn. My friend says, Uh, ok thank you, Sir. Larry, then asks, Do you know who I am? My friend says, No Sir. Larry just laughed. They had a quick chat and Larry went on his way.
Some people approach my friend and say, OMG you were just talking to Larry Harvey, the founder of Burning Man My friend was like, Oh, neat.
