Tweaks for Xperia Play?
« on: February 11, 2015, 09:08:07 AM »
First off. Fantastic emulator in every way. Thanks!

Just a question.
Are there any specific tweaks that can be done for Xperia Play? The sound is a bit off here and there, mostly a crackling sound. And some lag is to be found in Super Mario 64 and Zelda OOt (the only games I play) It is not much at all, but just a little stuff that I could do without :).

Is there any special tweak options for Xperia Play I should look closer at?

You might want to check out the version 3 alpha builds, posted in the Testing section of this forum.  V3 has a few differences with respect to the audio, which might make a difference.  You can install it alongside the official version 2.4.4 from Google Play.  In either case, you can try changing the audio buffer size in the Audio/Global settings of V2.4.4/V3.

Nice. Thanks, I will look into it.

I know the Xperia Play isn't the most powerful device out there. But it's very convenient to play with the analog pad and layout of the phone. So I really hope it would be possible to tweak the performance of Mupen on it.
