zelda oot bugs.
« on: February 13, 2012, 01:38:21 PM »
Recently had a crash, no biggie but couldnt reload that save state. During the crash the screen went black but i was still able to hear the sound(looping) i assume because my buttons were still visble but the same sound was still audible regardless of the buttons i pressed. Recently after the update ive noticed that anything that isnt solid plane ie fences plants ladders, are now appearing "filled in" (for lack of a better term). It looks like a color appropriate piece of paper with the grapic of the object drawn on it. And im still seeing transparent walls and floors and objects projecting into my screen that are really in the distance, like standing in front of hyrule castlein front of the drawbridge, looking towards death mountain, death mountain, instead of appearing behind everything in the dinstance, appears in front of everything including link.

On a galaxy tab 7 if its relavant.

Which device is this on, and which video plug-in(s) have the "filled in" effect?  If it is gles2n64, make sure to enable "Alpha Test", and also try playing around with the "Force Screen Clear", "Tribuffer Opt", and "Hack Z" settings to see if they have any effect.  If it is gles2rice, try playing around with the two settings it has.

Depending on your computer-saviness, is there any chance you could get a screen-shot of the "filled in" effect?  It would require either rooting your phone or installing the Android SDK on your computer.  If that sounds like something above your skill level, don't worry about it (alternately you could take a snapshot of your phone's screen if you own a digital camera - lower quality, but it might be good enough for me to see what it is doing).

This looks similar to the bug that affects the Droid Bionic, Razer, and Atrix.  You say this didn't start happening until after the update?  Any effect if Alpha Test is enabled, and Tribuffer Opt?

Enabling alpha text fixed the bug shown in the picture, tribuff opt had no discernable effect, and nor did hack z. Im seeing mostly doors and water through everything still though.
