Dualshock 4 without root?
« on: April 14, 2015, 07:48:18 AM »
Hey there, Im wondering if this is possible to do. The sixaxis app requires root, I dont want to compromise the security of my device or my new warrenty. Ive paired my Dualshock 4 to my phone fine, and mupen64ae recognises it as a 360 controller, but because of that some of the axis come out wrong. with 360 profile enabled, dpad and left stick work, but triggers are constantly 'on' (at -1.00) and it interferes with right stick calibration. Really i just need a profile that resets the trigger axis range, but the raw profile files are just undecyperable numbers. If there is a way to force the app to recognise the ds4 as ps4 compatible, or a hacked together 360 profile for reset trigger ranges, it'd be great. Thanks

Looks like my controller is being detected as a 360 controller, not ps4. If the Z and RZ axis were listed as axis not triggers, it would all work fine in the ps3 profile. As it is the C buttons dont work because it thinks they are triggers. Any way to override the detection in settings, maybe a config file? Ill never use an xbox controller, so it just needs to assume ps4.
