Richard42 officially announced Mupen64Plus 1.99.5 yesterday.  I'm in the process of dropping the sources into Mupen64Plus AE, and will release another update in the next couple of days.

Not a lot that will affect this project, but a few little things (any improvements at all are worth it, IMO).  The change-log is listed here.  I sent Richard42 some of the Market donations as well to say thanks for the awesome work and to promote continued development.

I'll post a test to see.  I don't expect it to have much affect though (the changes are mainly features it looks like, and besides, the main performance bottleneck, especially on pre-ARM7 devices, is the video plug-in)

Got the changes in place and compiled.  Still having the usual small crashes due to missing a line of code here or there, but should have the test ready soon (I'm shooting for Thursday).  I also want to add in the translations to have folks test those as well (I want to do a little research to see if there's a way to change the language in-app, regardless of global device language settings)

I don't have a test ready to run yet.  The upgrade is turning out to be a bit more difficult than I initially thought.  I have gles2n64 running, but Rice still crashes, so still more debugging to do.  Also, I haven't tested input-sdl or the core SDL functions very extensively yet.  Audio and RSP plug-ins are working.

Sorry for the delay in updating everyone (this took a bit longer than I anticipated, due to some changes in the API).  Here is the first in a series of tests for the new core version 1.99.5:

1.99.5 Core Test

I'll post the source code once I've worked out all the kinks and cleaned things up (if anyone wants the source before then, just let me know).  Because the code has undergone a lot of changes, please run thorough tests to compare performance, compatibility, and bugs with the official branch.

Note: I've also tried to fix the Tribuffer Opt bug in gles2n64 for Galaxy S and Yinlips console in this build, so that I can merge the two branches and make the source code easier to follow.  Anyone who has one of these devices, please try Zelda OOT and let me know if it crashes.

Lioncash has laid the framework for multi-language support, so I'll be incorporating that next once I work out any major bugs with the new core.  BTW, for anyone interested in following his branch of the project, he is maintaining a repository here.

I fixed a minor bug (forgot to package the new mupen64plus.cfg, which has a slightly new syntax).  The link is still the same.  If you installed the test already, please re-download and install, then run "Restore App Data" to get the new config file (otherwise there will be a few bugs like inability to map controller buttons, etc).

The Zelda bug isn't even in the latest market version anymore.
Or is the bug even on Galaxy S ? Assuming you did mean the S 2 in fact.

I'm testing the latest mupen version on Pandora, the last days. All I can say is, that this version is very outdated and Mupen64plus-AE performs much better. Many graphic bugs, the Android version has, are in the Pandora version. (DK 64 - resume after "OK", black screen after first scene in Zelda- MM ...)
Bugs, you have fixed, ar allways there (no-eyes-bug in Smash Brothers
This device needs definitely a newer port of mupen64plus.   :(

Ok so with the new core, perfect dark runs faster while banjo tooie runs even slower and crashes more often  :P

Yes, sorry I meant the Galaxy S2.  This build of gles2n64 is a hybrid of the old version that crashed (but was slightly faster) and the new version which didn't crash.  I'm hoping I've fixed the crash problem, but need to verify it.

banjo tooie runs even slower and crashes more often  :P
It might be because this is a debug build, which uses more memory.  However, the new core itself is a tad larger, so Banjo Tooie may still have more problems with this build (a better solution would be to figure out what's causing the crashes in the first place, of course.. may be a while before I can get to it though).  Anyway, I'll post the release builds for testing before I publish them to the market (just have a few more things I want to add first).
