I should be starting college in the end of august. I will be developing video games, and so I intend to develop my own games for android and eventually consoles. Any suggestions for a good learning program, instructional project, ,etc?

Hey, I'm in a similar boat! I'm teaching myself Java atm
The base language of android is Java, with a little XML thrown in to make the layout design easier. Paul suggested that i check out the Oracle Java tutorials after I finished the text book I'm reading through (almost there!).
There is also android specific tutorials that I've had a look through, which are worth a read
As for projects, I'm not sure about that. My text book has projects to work through and I guess the 2 tutorials below will probably test you to some degree with little projects.
GOOD LUCK !
