Env3D is a 3d engine written in Java. The primary audience for this engine are first year computer science students learning Java. Some aspects of the engine may not be "industrial strength", as I opt for simplicity in every design decision, but it is very usable nonetheless.
I have managed to integrate Paul's wonderful 3d sound system into the engine and it is working very well. In fact, one of my student has written a game fully utilizing the 3d sound feature!
