Personally, I'm a Linux user.

I use Mac, windows and linux (ubuntu) on a daily basis so I am pretty neutral whens it comes to operating systems.

For work and general usage I use the OS X lion the most, For tinkering and again general usage I Ubuntu 11.04 on my netbook and I mainly dual boot Windows 7 with OS X on my main computer for gaming. :)

My main PC at home is quad boot Windows XP, Windows 7, Ubuntu Lucid, and Mac OS X Snow Leopard "hackintosh".  However, I only use the other OS's for testing compatibilities.  I keep it booted into Ubuntu most of the time.  Until I get back home, though, Ubuntu is all my netbook has on it  :D

I tried windows 8 then and I must say it felt very fast! Although the new interface is a horrible blend of a tablet OS and windows 7 and its very awkward to use. Another thing that bugged me is that there were multiple versions of the same app, for example there was two of IE 10, two different control panels. It all felt very unintuitive and I know its still in early alpha but they need to make a lot of design changes to get this to work right.

Also I recently tried the beta of Ubuntu 11.10 and I really like the new version of unity, the UI is very pretty and simplistic although I do feel the distro had deviated from its existing audience and is focused more on casual or new users to linux. I feel as though the new distro is more of a design overhaul than anything else but one thing that really bugged me is that they changed the universal menu bar so that it doesn't display any options until you hover over it, I have absolutely no idea why they would make such a silly design choice and the lack of customisation in the unity desktop environment doesn't help that, there are ways to install gnome again but by default it has been totally removed.

That's the main reason I haven't upgraded either of my computers yet.  I'm a big fan of gnome, and have no plans to change that any time soon  ;D

I liked the way they did it in 11.04 they gave users the option to pick either unity or gnome at login, it was a distro that both casual and power users could use the way they wanted.

I much preffer gnome + docky to unity :D

It has been verified that Windows 8 is going to be available in beta by February. It will have an app center, just like rival systems, though Windows Vista had a comparable function that no one cared about. Designers can start licking their chops. Microsoft desires more applications and is looking for individuals to start publishing applications for Windows 8 that will go throughout all platforms that carry Windows 8, including mobile. Individuals who are frustrated with Windows 7 will be pleased to have an update.

I'm kinda excited about this..weeeh!
