Djipi Zelda HD 2015 GlideN64
« on: November 09, 2015, 07:44:18 AM »
I searched on the forum but found nothing that anwser to my questions.
Is it possible to play Zelda Ocarina of time with Djipi_Zelda_HD_2015_GlideN64 plugin ? Can be found here: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache%3Awww.emulation64.fr%2F%3Fpage%3Ddownload%26id%3D267&oq=cache%3Awww.emulation64.fr%2F%3Fpage%3Ddownload%26id%3D267&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i58.1983j0j4&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=122&ie=UTF-8 [nofollow]
If yes, where do I must copy the files in the Djipi_Zelda_HD_2015_GlideN64.zip ?
I tried in \sdcard\Android\data\paulscode.android.mupen64plus\data but no plugin apeares in the video plugin list in the app.
Thanks for your help.

Extract the .HTC file from the zip(cache folder) file to the following directory and then follow the video above to enable HiRes loading.

"/sdcard/mupen64plusae-v3-alpha/CoreConfig/UserCache/mupen64plus/cache/"

Thank for you anwser but that doesn't work.
I don't undersant, in the video he copy the hires texture pack in /sdcard/mupen64plusae-v3-alpha/CoreConfig/UserData/mupen64plus/hires_texture/
I don't have to use the gliden64 plugin within the pack ? The gliden64 in the app is ok ?
How the app now where to find the hd texture folder ?

Ok I find the solution. the folder was right /sdcard/mupen64plusae-v3-alpha/CoreConfig/UserCache/mupen64plus/cache/ as you said.
But I have to use the GlideN64-GLES-3.0 with OpenGL ES 3.0 instead of 3.1 because my device is a GPD XD on Android 4.4.4
Now I have a hires texture mobile Zelda OOT and that as no price at all. Thank you.
The game is prety slow I think 15fps (show FPS option doesn't work) that's still playable. But ther is a big slow when opening the menu and navigate inside. Do you know how to avoid that ?

To speed up the menu, set "EnableCopyColorToRDRAM" to 2. Also, make sure that EnableFBEmulation is checked.

EnableCopyColorToRDRAM is just an on/off option, how can I apply a value to it ?
I tried with GlideN64-GLES-2.0 and the menu is better (not perfect but better). But there is some sky bug with this profil.

You must have an older version. Try getting the latest build first. It will let you set it to 2.

I still can't get the .htc file to work and I am at the boiling point in frustration of trying everything.
I even tried making copies in both folder areas and a copy renamed, and it still fails.

I am on the 2.0 variant and I can only assume this is an unfixed bug,or some bull-slish like not supporting .htc files on the only variant I can use.

bump

Still can't get the .htc file textures to work, not even on my Shield TV with either the 3.0 or 3.1 variants.

Anyone got full instructions on exactly what to do,step by step?
I am SICK of not getting to see the textures in action, especially on full RGB mode in the 3.0 OTA update!

It looks like the latest builds won't load hires textures. I didn't spend too much time with extracted texture packs, just the htc cache. I'm not sure if the path for the cache files changed in recent versions or what happened.

Either way, in the meantime I tried the last build on Oct 2, 2015 and was able to get the texture pack working with the instructions in this thread. I'm not sure what the latest working versions is, if I get time I may do some more digging. Hopefully that build works for you to get the textures working. I tested it on my Nvidia Shield TV with the 3.0 OTA.

Feb 29 was the the latest one that works. I think something changed upstream that is affecting us. I'll probably get something working again within the next few days.
