what about selling custom front end skins on request and controller ones too? Obviously people could still make their own

We could do that, although the "cat is out of the bag" now so to speak with the cheats and input stuff.  Maybe we can think about doing something like this for post-2.0 features.

Personally, I would like to do a netplay module, (I think it could be done even at this point through frame count synchronization).  Another good idea might be save-state and texture-pack sharing.  We should brainstorm some good features to put into a couple closed-source "unlocker" modules.

I'd definitely like to help you put together something you yourself could sell on Google Play (to get back a little compensation for the hard work you've put into the open-source piece!)  Maybe something to do with input if we can think of some cool feature that folks might buy.. or even a more featured front-end or something.  I have a paid github account, so I can create private repositories too, if needed.

Thanks for the offer.  I may take you up on that some day, but for now I'm just doing this for fun.  If you want to take the lead commercializing something, I'm happy to support it.  If you want to roll some of the 2.0 features into a pro version, I'm fine with that too.  If you become a millionaire I trust you'll throw a bone to me and the other devs :)

I think its fair to say most players would be more than happy to buy the app, especially if that speeds up development and updates (not that you guys haven't been doing a fantastic job, you certainly have been doing inspiring work at a solid pace), but faster is always better of course. So my 2 is to do whatever is best for the project in this regard.

That one appears to be based on 1.9.2 from the menu options.  It's styled nicer than I did it :)

Yeh, can't even get the name right in the description either - "N64.emu is based on Mupen64plus AE and mupen64plus".  This is obviously the same publisher who had the last one up, and who even knows if the screen-shots are from the same app LOL!

I think we should find a way to make n64.emu, pp.emu etc guy to get his apps off gplay, he just steals and sells them for 6$, would be accepted if his emus were actually based on the original ones.

I'd be willing to bet it is Brad Geng a.k.a Huaining Geng a.k.a. Shikitou a.k.a David Agarwal a.k.a. Ash Apps a.k.a. Scottmcfurry a.k.a.....  well you get the point  ;D

As long as he leaves me alone when I publish the app this weekend, I don't mind having the "competition" - at that price whose going to pay for an app they can get for free on the same market?
