Hey, amazing work here!
Just wondering, does it use the phones vibrate function as a vibrator pack? I just think this would be a really nice feature (if it doesn't already). Obviously focus on getting bugs out of the way before adding this, but if this already is in, that definitely makes this the best n64 emulator for the Xperia play!

Ok, here is a verbose test to run, scorpio16v.  You will need to manually set first_run=1 in the [GENERAL] section of gui.cfg (it is in the folder [sdcard]/Android/data/paulscode.android.mupen64plus/data/).  Or alternately you could just delete the app data to let the app re-download it again for you.

For the test, please run the app, go directly to "Open ROM" and choose your ROM.  Then from the game, choose "Close" from the in-game menu without going back to the main menu.  Please post the logcat after doing all that:

Not yet, but I will add this at some point.  One of those things on the ever-increasing "to do" list  ;D

well, good luck with getting rid of all the bugs, and finishing that ever extending to do list ;) Also, when this does go on the market, I will definitely buy it! Could someone tell me if Conkers Bad Fur Day is playable on the Play with this emulator? I know it is possibly the most advanced game on the n64, so I don't really expect it to be, but if it is, that's one helluva achievement!

It should run, but it will be extremely slow and not really playable because it requires the incomplete gles2rice plug-in (gles2n64 has serious graphics glitches).  Gles2rice will improve over time, so I expect Conkers to be playable at some point in the future.  It is almost playable now if I overclock my phone, disable the audio, use the no-sound RSP plug-in, and turn off the virtual gamepad (using my classic Wiimote for input).  It is still a bit too slow to play comfortably (and besides, the best part of Conkers was the audio anyway!)

Definitely! What's the point of Conkers Bad Fur Day if you can't listen to the great mighty poo song :P

The wrong skin error didn't appear with the verbose test. The analog tablet skin was set correctly.
Nevertheless, I'll add the logcat.

Thanks, I think I fixed the problem when I fixed a different earlier one.  Please try this version and let me know if it has the problem (this is the one I'm planning on putting on the market, so I need to make sure it is in there):

First Beta Test

As before, make sure the first_run is set to 1, or delete the app data before testing.

The beta runns fine with the right settings. I have deleted the app-data and I must even uninstall the former version.
Without that, it aboards the install. (something with wrong signature).

I've edited my other post with a question, related to sound.

Excellent video.  I'll use it for both versions on the market for now.  I can always change it later if someone with a different device submits another good promotional video to use for the non-Play version.  Also, I should be able to change the screen shots if anyone comes up with a good one they would like to see listed, and can add or edit stuff in the description if anyone has suggestions for that as well.  I like the idea of making it a community effort rather than seeming like I am the sole owner of the project.

And thats why this emulator is my favorite one so far. Its awesome how interactive you have been with the community!

Also my xperia play has been updated to 2.3.4 so I can take screenshots without root access now so I can take images of any games you want.

Thanks for using the video btw, the quality isnt that good and im not really good at talking in front of a camera but I like to try and help. :)

I tried it just now and the touch pads seems to work correctly just like they did in the previous build I tried. Should I delete my app data to double check?

Also heres some screenshots I took, you dont need to use them all just pick any ones you might like. :)
