Mupen64 ae for Android.
« on: February 09, 2016, 09:33:50 AM »
I am new on here and just wondering when will it allow us to punch in game shark codes?
Every time I do it says error and I follow the instructions to do it.

Also, will there ever be a way to simplify the cheat entering to be simpler and set up just like it is on the actuall Gameshark?

And lastly after all these years, are You getting closer to making Star Wars Rogue Squadron and Star Wars Battle for Naboo t work on the Emulator.

I have a Nvidia Shield Portable and I also have The Nvidia Shield Tv and look forward to the day when I can Play both of those Star Wars game on my Nvidia devices.

The Mupen 64 AE emulator Version 3 Alpha looks great and happy that You have been able to see that it has progressed even better after all this time but still not near perfect. Not yet anyways.

Thank You for all Your hard work to date. :)

It should be simple, select the + icon for a new cheat and long press to edit each part of the cheat.

Cheatname

81234567 89AB

Merely an example with all usable numbers and two of the letters.
Make sure there isn't a ghosted space after any of the lines.
Even having a code with 20+ lines can fail merely because of a " " space after the end of one random line,so always make sure to backspace them if you find any on a code you are pasting into it.

I did all the that and error. Also, how do You enter Multiple lines of codes for one cheat code.

I was doing it like this 81234567 89AB 81234567 89AB 81234567 89AB 81234567 89AB.

In the game shark You go like this-
81234567 89AB
81234567 89AB
81234567 89AB
81234567 89AB
81234567 89AB
Obviously not the same numbers just an example.

You actually need to press enter on a keyboard (onscreen or physical) to space them out exactly like that...

81234567 89AB
81234567 89AB

Problem is though, sometimes copying can be stupid and make them word-wrap even though the format is correct on the page you are copying from.

Having the Shield TV,I highly recommend getting a keyboard with built-in trackpad so you can use the mouse cursor too along with Enter and Backspace.
I got a Logitech K400r myself, but there is an issue where errors can appear from Tegra Servcies because some stupid bug in the software reacting badly to it.
If the problem is persistent, you can clear the cache of the apps that say unfortunately has crashed to kinda fix it.

Ok Now I have run into a Snag.

I am trying to get the Japanese Gameshark codes to work for Virtual Pro Wresting 2 and non of them are working.
I even hooked up my Keyboard to my Nvidia's to get the 2 or more codes in the same code save and nothing.
Is the Mupen64 Ae for Android not set up for Japanese codes?

I think I know exactly what is happening,I had the issue once with Zelda codes switching to other regions and not working as enabled.
But I thought that was fixed, guess not for some other games in other regions.

Yours is the other way around with the (U) and/or (E) region version stealing the cheats if that issue is still happening on non-(U) regioned games.

I honestly don't know what to do,if you have a PC that can run PJ64 at all,try using the cheats on that for your game to see if they aren't duds.
Wrestling games seem to be notorious with cheats not working quite correctly,at least on my end.

Some codes for some games are unkownly pointer address codes, like the night time cheat for Banjo-Kazooie which does not work for me due to being in the 80000000-801F0000 range.

I know the Game Shark codes are good because I use them on the gameshark for my N64 console and have no problems.

Hello, maybe I can fix your issue. What gameshark code are you entering? Also for what game?
