It has come to my attention that if an ASIC miner isn’t running 24/7, meaning if it is powered down completely during certain times, that this could harm the miner because of the heat-up cool-down effect on the chips. This brings up a concern especially if I want a miner to last for at least 5 years.
Any thoughts on this?
